GUILD RANKS

Rank names are based on Roman military ranks.

The purpose of these ranks is to demonstrate a skill within the game, a willingness to grow and learn, and in the case of the leadership ranks, a focus on encouraging and supporting your fellow guild members. The ranks give players goals to obtain within the game, and allow fellow guild members to understand one another's abilities in the game. It is frustrating on both sides when a player has been invited into an instance or raid, and that player is not ready to be doing that content successfully. The ranking system reduces the misunderstandings that arise from those awkward situations. It also gives players goals by encouraging them to improve their gear and skill.

Gear ranking is based on the character's gear being essentially composed of items from the successive raids, Heroics, Badges, Rep Rewards, Crafted Items, and PvP Rewards where applicable.* (see below)

Plebian - Characters 1-69. Gear rank, level 9.

Legionary - New 70. Still geared in greens and blues from leveling, and not ready for Karazhan. Gear rank, level 8.

Optio - Ready for Karazhan; You can contribute to the Karazhan Raid without being "dragged through" by higher geared players. Gear rank, level 7.

Aquilifier - Ready for Gruul's Lair & Magtheridon, Zul'Aman bosses on farm status** (see below) for non timer runs. You have everything you need out of Karazhan and your gear is enchanted, gemmed, glyphed, kitted, etc. You can contribute to a Gruul's/Mag Raid without being "dragged through" by higher geared players. Gear rank, level 6.

Tribunus - Ready for Serpentshrine Cavern (SSC), The Eye/Tempest Keep (TK) and a full clear of Zul'Aman, and ZA timer runs. Progression Raids will be composed primarily of these members.*** (see below) You have everything you need out of Gruul's & Mag, and all your rep items, badge rewards, instance item gear (pre 2.4), and your gear is enchanted, gemmed, glyphed, kitted, etc. You can contribute to a SSC/TK Raid without being "dragged through" by higher geared players. Gear rank, level 5.

Centurion - Ready for Mount Hyjal (MH) and Black Temple (BT). You have everything you need out of 5/6 SSC & 3/4 TK, and all your rep items, badge rewards, instance item gear (including all new 2.4 items), and your gear is enchanted, gemmed, glyphed, kitted, etc. You can contribute to a MH/BT Raid without being "dragged through" by higher geared players. Gear rank, level 4.

Dominate - Non-officer Raid Leaders and Class Leaders. Rank, Level 3.

Consul-Alt - Officer Alts. Same permissions as Consul level: Ability to invite to guild or g-kick, and access to the Guild Bank items only, not Guild Bank gold. Rank, Level 2.

Consul - Officer Mains. Officers have the ability to invite to guild or g-kick, and access to the Guild Bank items only, not Guild Bank gold. Rank, Level 1.

Imperator - Guild Master. Full access to structure of Guild set-up, the ability to invite to guild or g-kick, and full access to the Guild Bank. Rank, Level 0.

*Guild ranks have been set based on what the officers see in the Armory. If you disagree with your rank, please send an in-game or on website message to Sathyra, including your detailed argument, and she will look into it. If you have recently received gear upgrades, and meet the next level requirements, please notify Sathyra. If your gear is not polished, meaning it is missing enchants, kits, gems, glyphs, etc. you will not be promoted to the next level.

Players of a gear level lower than the scheduled raid may be allowed into the raid based on their player skill and/or class need to balance the raid. Some players may be maxed out in gear, but lack the skill. A WWS report is ran for each raid and posted to the Raid Forums so players can see where they stand in relation to the guild. These reports are a tool to help people get better, and are not a means to gloat or heckle fellow guild members over. If you are struggling, please ask for help. If you see a fellow member struggling, please offer to help. If someone offers you constructive advice, please be open to it. To seek your own help, visit Elitist Jerks or Google your character class + WOW for links to helpful websites. We are adults, so let's act like it!

**Farm Status Raids are defined as bosses or raids the Progression Raid is capable of one shotting. Farm Status raids and bosses are open to the rest of the raiding members with appropriate rank. Karazhan, Gruul's, Magtheridon, and Zul'Aman Bosses: Nalorakk (Bear), Akil'zon (Eagle), and Halazzi (Lynx) are on Farm Status.

***Progression Raids are defined as new bosses the guild has not downed yet, and bosses that we have not successfully one shotted, (taken down without wiping, on the first attempt). The raid will be composed of the best team possible. The content is difficult for us, and requires the best player skill and gear our guild has, along with optimum group composition to maximize synergy, (some classes boost each other's skills by being placed in the same group during raid). Also the raid must be in balance, meaning a mix of ranged/spell, melee, tanks, and healing. If you see 4-5 people of your same class signed up on the GC, chances are that some will remain on standby. You will remain on standby until placed into the raid.
