GUILD RULES

Welcome to Fury!

1. Only people 18 and over are allowed in the guild (exceptions can be made).

2. You should respect your fellow guild members as well as all players outside of the guild. Remember that we're all here to have fun, and no single member should prevent others from enjoying themselves.

3. We all enjoy a bit of fun, but direct insults, name-calling, racial or sexist jokes, and other such behavior will not be tolerated. If such behavior occurs, one warning will be given before removal from the guild.

4. Ninja looting, either within guild runs or in a PUG, will not be tolerated.

5. We will not tolerate cheats, hacks, kill-stealing, or any similar actions outside of the fair play promoted in World of Warcraft.

6. You do not have to have a level 70 character to be in the guild. Many people with level 70s have under 70 alts, and like to run the Old World content.

7. This is a Casual/ Casual Raiding guild meaning you can be casual member who chooses not to raid, or you can be a casual raider. You will get out what you put in to the guild. If you need help, ask. If someone asks for help, give them a helping hand. We have much to learn from and teach to each other.

8. Given that we are all adults and experienced with WoW, it is our expectation that players are "self-starters" (i.e. entering runs into the GC and asking fellow guild members to join them, posting suggestions onto the Forums, etc.).

9. Constructive criticism is a necessary thing and should be readily accepted - each of us can always get better.

10. ADDONS MANDITORY FOR RAIDING and INSTANCES: (If you are going to run instances or raids, you must have these addons.)

Omen

GroupCalendar
- http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/1958/
DeadlyBossMods

Decursive (for dispel classes)

oRA2
- http://www.wowace.com/wiki/ORA2
Solarian Alarm (for Astromancer Solarian, TK)
http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/9539/
PallyPower (for Paladins and Raid Leaders)

11. Raid Leaders may require additional addons for specific boss encounters (e.g. SolarianAlarm).

12. A guild member's Main raiding character must keep their raid IDs for guild 25-man raids. Exceptions are only permitted after discussion with an Officer.

13. The Raid Leader and Officers are in charge of the Raids. Unless it directly pertains to the raid, wait until after raid to speak with them or send them an in game or on website message. If you have a suggestion about what the raid is currently working on, raise a hand in Raid Chat or politely over Vent to be heard. (It is important to keep Vent clear during raids.) Otherwise, ***DO NOT WHISPER THE RAID LEADER DURING RAID***

14. Raids takes a lot of preparation and planning. If you choose to raid, you must follow the raid rules stated under the Raid Forums, Raid Reports and Discussions Sticky, "What Does Casual Raiding Mean?" We expect professionalism in our raids. The 5 rules for raiding have been copied and pasted below.

15. For scheduled runs:
- Players who wish to run an event must sign up via Group Calendar (GC). Keep your GC updated according to the version in the guild's message of the day.
- If a player expects to be late or can not stay for the entire raid, the player must note it in their GC request or they will be docked EP for showing up late or leaving early.
- If you can not attend a raid, please sign up as not attending. This helps the raid organizers plan around who can attend.
- Invitations will be made thirty minutes ahead of the time of the event
- Ten minutes before the beginning of the event, players on standby will be asked to fill open spaces.
- If a player is experiencing a connection issue or DCs, we will wait 5 minutes while in the raid before replacing the player.
- When a player is replaced, players who are registered as on Standby in the raid event (GC) will remain in the raid for the duration of the run, once they are added into the raid.

RAID RULES: Here is what is Required of You to Raid

1) USE GROUP CALENDAR regardless if you can attend raid or not. If you are unsure, sign up as maybe and change your status to attending or not attending at least 6 hours before the raid. You will be docked points for signing up for raid then taking yourself out of raid within 6 hours of the raid formation. If you can not attend, please sign up as not attending. If you are arriving late or must leave early, please make a note of it when you sign up to avoid loosing EP. As a raiding member of the guild, if you are online during raid times and are asked to join the raid, you better have a good excuse why you can't (even if only for one boss). We must be willing to help our fellow raid members even if we ourself do not need anything out of a raid. We have a limited amount of time per week, so let's make that time together count. The Raid Leaders start working days ahead of the raids to form group synergy, and learn content. Please give your RLs courtesy by using the Group Calendar.

2) BE ON TIME. Groups start forming 30 mins before first pull, and a 100 EPGP bonus is awarded 15 mins before first pull. If you are not on the Group Calendar, you will not be invited until after the 100 EPGP bonus is awarded. If you sign up as attending and do not show up, you will lose -250 EP, and be placed on standby for the next raid. Can't get Group Calendar to work? Whisper or in-game message the raid leader to be added so you don't miss out. Keep your GC updated to the version posted in the Guild Information tab. Once you've added your name to the GC, wait 5 mins for sync before logging out.

3) COME PREPARED. This means your gear is repaired, and you have enough consumables (food, pots, elixirs, flasks, reagents, etc) to wipe 25 times. This is MANDATORY for 25-man progression content. If you have to harth out to repair, ask for a repair bot early in the raid, you will loose -25 EP for making the raid wait on you. If you run short on consumables during raid, and need to buy consumables from a fellow raid member, expect to pay your fellow raid member for the items at the going AH rate. Please do not mooch.

4) BRING YOUR "A" GAME. Put the time and effort into your gaming skills by making your character the best it can be outside of raid time. You must meet the minimum gear requirements for the content. Your gear must enchanted, gemmed, glyphed, kitted, etc. to maximize your player abilities. Unsure about this? Ask your fellow guild mates for advice, and Google your class to find websites dedicated to theorycrafting. Simple gear changes, shot/spell rotation changes, keyboard set-ups can improve your performance immensely. We have seen people double their DPS by making simple changes. One example is http://elitistjerks.com/ We are also running WWS and will post a link to the raid report after each run so you can check your progress.

5) LEARN THE RAID CONTENT. You don't have to know what each trash mob does unless you are raid leading. However, reviewing the boss fight(s) before trying them will help reduce the wiping. While reading/watching videos is not the same as actually doing the content, it will cut back on the number of mistakes you'll make if you have a general idea of the fight mechanics. Here are two website with raid content overviews http://pillage.uber.com/ http://www.wowwiki.com/Instance

We have the talent and gear now to progress rapidly into SSC/TK and beyond if we can get our raid force on the same page. Please encourage each other to be a team player!

LOOT SYSTEM RULES

10-man raids

We will be using the wow-loot priority tables for Karazhan, Zul'Aman, Gruul's Layer, and Magtheridon, Tempesst Keep, Serpentshrine Cavern, Mount Hyjal, and Black Temple. With the exception of specific 25-man items, which require EPGP to obtain (i.e. DST from Gruul. A master list of EPGP items will be posted soon.) If you are a primary class for an item, you get to roll in the first wave. If no one in the primary classes rolls, then the secondary wave is open to roll, etc. We ask that an alt character pass to a main character, unless the main does not need the item.

If someone receives a PRIMARY item during the raid's ID timer, they cannot roll over someone with primary or secondary priority on a certain item until everyone in that set of primary users receive something or don't want something. They are able to roll against the tertiary classes though. If someone wins a secondary or tertiary (off spec) item, they may roll on a primary item as primary.

For example,
[Worgen Claw Necklace] is a Hunter, Rogue, Feral Druid prime. They all get first roll. The Rogue wins it. We continue.

[Edgewalker Longboots] is a Rogue Prime. However, the Rogue just won a prime item. So he passes for now. Feral-Druids are secondary. The Feral-Druid wants the boots so he rolls. He wins. If the druid were to pass, the tertiary classes are Hunters and Enhancement Shamans. The Rogue who passed for the Feral-Druid can now roll with the Tertiary class because this is a PRIME upgrade.

[Steelhawk Crossbow] is a Hunter prime. No Hunters need it. Secondary classes are Rogues, Arms and Fury Warriors. The Fury warrior wins. We continue.

[Royal Cloak of Arathi Kings] is an Arms, Fury Warrior and Enhancement Shaman Prime. The Fury Warrior may roll on the Primary, even though he received a secondary item alteady because he has not yet received a Primary item during the Raid's ID timer that week.

Winning Tertiary items do not affect your priority in any way because they are really not much of an upgrade (more of a default). So you may roll as per normal after winning a Tertiary item during the week.

***RECIPES/PAtTERNS ARE CONSIDERED TERTIARY PRIORITY***
Raid members are required to have a minimum of 3 raids and at least 4000 EP before they are eligible to roll on enchanting/JC/alchemy recipes in the first wave (including recipes from Karazhan and ZA). If no one eligible is interested in an recipe, then it will go to someone with less EP in lieu of being vendored. Patterns that make BOP items use EPGP to obtain, at a cost of 50 GP. Patterns that make BOE items are up for open roll, subject to the same minimum requirements as enchanting/JC/alchemy recipes.

25-man raids

EPGP is based on the concept of Effort Points and Gear Points. Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards the (common) guild goals and Gear Points quantify what each member got back in return. Loot priority is computed as the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP divided by GP (EP/GP).

In a sense EPGP is like zero sum, but without all the need to rebalance the system, or impose taxes to give points for other effort put into the guild. Zero sum awards GP/N points to each player for each item dropped (GP the value of the item and N the number of players in the raid) so that the sum of all points for the members of the guild is zero. EPGP on the other hand is by definition self balanced since priority (and hence chance to receive loot) is directly proportional to the effort you put and inversely proportional to the rewards you got. It is also much more flexible than zero sum since it doesn't require a specific balance point (sum to be equal to zero for example). As such points can be awarded for almost anything without any taxation or over complicating the system (see below). Also another problem with zero sum is the random value of each boss. A boss kill is a boss kill and the effort to kill it is the same no matter if it happened to drop 1 or 2 epics. With zero sum since the amount of effort points the members get is proportional to the loot dropped which is definitely not representing fairly the effort each member puts in the guild.

EP Table:
Being in raid group ready to go by time set on GC = 100 EP
Recurring EP = 25 EP/15 mins
Consumables check = 100 EP
Farmed Boss Kill: Hydross, Lurker, VR, Solarian = 100 EP
Progression Boss Kills: Morogrim, Karathress, Al'ar (we've downed them, but not yet on farm status) = 200 EP
New Boss Kill (Progression raid)= 300 EP
Progression Wipes = 200 EP (i.e. if we wipe constantly all night on a new boss, 200 points are awarded for sticking it out, awarded to the raid ONLY)

Decay = 10%
EP and GP depreciate at a weekly 10% rate. Since both values are reduced by the same percentage, PR is unaffected. This effectively deals with any "EP hoarding".

Bidding

1. Once the boss drops and all (if any) raid members have been resurrected, the Master Looter will link all of the items on the boss into Raid chat.
2. Drops will be announced in order of highest to lowest GP (e.g. [Pauldrons of the Vanquished Hero] , [Void Reaver Greaves] , and then [Wristguards of Determination] ).
3. All players who have the drop as a Primary item will type the word "bid" into raid chat, and the drop is awarded based on the character with the highest PR.
4. If no Primary class player is interested, the Master Looter will call for off-spec bids, and off-spec players can then the word "bid" into raid chat. Off spec items will cost either 10% of the regular GP, or 25g. (the recipient may choose which method of payment for the item.) All gold will be collected by the master looter at the time the drop is received, and the Master Looter will deposit all collected gold into the guild bank at the end of the raid.
5. If no one is interested, the item will go to the raid disenchanter, and the shards will be stored in the Guild Bank.

Standby
- If you are online, you get EP - the same amount if you're in the raid or on Standby. The only requirement is that your Main is eligible for our 25-man content. Only players who are offline will not receive EP.

- If you are on Standby, you need to stay on the Standby toon (whether Main or Alt) for the duration of the raid to receive full EP. If you need to log to another toon, you MUST whisper an Officer or the Raid Leader, and it is at their discretion how you will be added back into the raid on Standby. To be clear, you can lose EP and we are not going to manually add it back.

Miscellaneous
- All other EP awards will come from an Officer-sanctioned "event" (e.g. we decide to hand out 500 EP for a resist set).

- Players are listed on EPGP and are required to take their Main to all raids. If an alt is required for a specific raid, the alt can use their PR to obtain a drop. But there is only one pool of points per player so the mains and alts all share the same pool of points. In other words, if a player takes something for an alt, it could hurt their main by dropping them down the EPGP list.

- - Raid members are required to have a minimum of 3 raids and at least 4000 EP before they are eligible to to receive drops. This includes enchanting recipes (including recipes from Karazhan and ZA), BOE patterns, and gear, etc. If no one eligible is interested in an item then it may go to someone with less EP in lieu of being disenchanted or vendored. Materials for crafting, and non-claimed BOE patterns are stored in the Guild Bank and subject to Guild Bank Rules (see post on Guild Bank Rules.)

- Bind-on-Pickup profession patterns are distributed based on EPGP, and charged 50 GP.

- Off-spec items cost 10% of their normal GP or 25g paid at the time of the drop, no exceptions.

-[Mark of the Illidari] , [Nether Vortex] , [Heart of Darkness] , [Sunmote] , gems, shards, and other such mat items are collected by the Master Looter during raid and placed into the guild bank at the end of the raid. Please refer to Guild Bank Rules on how to obtain them.

- Note: EPGP uses the Officer's Notes as an in-game database for each players EP and GP. The format is "EP,GP"

(thanks to Team X-Calibre guild, Gurubashi server for some info contained herein)
